How our news is made.

Home Value Pros publishes daily housing market analysis. This page explains how those articles are produced, what standards they follow, and how to get something corrected.

How articles are produced

Our news articles are data-driven analysis drafted with AI assistance from primary sources: the National Association of Realtors, the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey, the U.S. Census Bureau and HUD, Zillow ZHVI, and Redfin. Every figure in an article is dated and linked to its source so you can check it yourself.

Before an article publishes it passes programmatic QA checks, a banned-phrase filter, and fair-housing filters. Articles that fail a check are held back rather than published.

Sourcing standards

We prefer primary sources over secondhand reporting. When an article cites a number, the claim links inline to the release or dataset it came from. The full source list for every article appears at the foot of the article page, and the data behind our market figures is documented on our methodology page.

Corrections

If something in an article looks wrong, tell us at hello@homevaluepros.com. We investigate every report, and confirmed corrections are made on the article and noted there.

Who is behind this site

Home Value Pros is published by Home Value Pros LLC. You can read more about the company on our about page and how every figure we publish is sourced and computed on our methodology page.

Fair-housing commitment

Our analysis covers property and market attributes only: prices, trends, inventory, rates, and costs. We do not characterize neighborhoods by the people who live in them, and our fair-housing filters exist to keep it that way.
