FAQ
Straight answers, before you enter your address.
Everything homeowners ask us about cash offers, value estimates, where our data comes from, and what happens to your information.
The cash offer
How does the cash offer work?
Enter your address and we show cash offers for your specific home right next to your estimated open-market value. There are usually several offer types: a fast as-is cash offer, higher cash plus programs, and sell-and-leaseback options. To review the details, accept, or counter, you continue to your secure dashboard. It is free and there is no obligation.
Who makes the cash offers?
The offers come from a licensed institutional buyer network of vetted cash buyers. We pull the offers through the network's platform and present them to you. We do not run the buyers ourselves.
Is the offer binding or guaranteed?
No. The offers are made by buyers in a licensed institutional buyer network and are subject to the network's review of your property before anything becomes final. Nothing is binding until you review the terms in your dashboard and choose to accept.
Are there fees to get an offer?
Seeing your offers is free. If you accept an offer, any fees or terms are spelled out by the buyer in the offer details before you commit, so you can see exactly what you would walk away with.
The value estimate
What is the open-market value we show?
It is an automated estimate of what your home might sell for on the open market, presented as a range. We show it next to your cash offers so you can compare both paths on the same page.
How accurate is the estimate?
Automated estimates have real uncertainty, which is exactly why we show a range instead of a single falsely precise number. Accuracy varies by market and by how typical your home is for its area. Treat the range as a well-informed starting point, not a final answer.
Is the estimate an appraisal?
No. It is not a licensed appraisal, and lenders and courts will not treat it as one. If you need a formal valuation, hire a licensed appraiser. Our estimate is for comparison and planning.
Our data
Where does the market data come from?
Our market pages draw on recognized public sources, including the Zillow Home Value Index, Realtor.com market metrics, and Freddie Mac mortgage rates. Our methodology page lists every source we use and how we use it. Read our methodology.
How often is the data updated?
Market data refreshes monthly as the underlying public sources publish new figures. Each market page notes what it draws on, and the methodology page spells out the update cadence for each source. See update details.
Privacy and consent
What information do you collect?
To build your report we collect your address and, if you request offers or want to reach your dashboard, your contact details. Our privacy policy describes exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Read the privacy policy.
Will I get sales calls if I use this?
We only contact you in the ways you consent to. Where you provide a phone number, any calls or texts follow the consent language shown at the point you submit it, consistent with the TCPA. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Do you sell my personal information?
Yes. We sell and share certain personal information with lead buyers, real estate professionals, advertising partners, and data partners, and we use tracking technologies on the site, as our privacy policy explains. You can opt out of all sale and sharing anytime on our do-not-sell page, and we honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal automatically. Do not sell my information.
